After a successful Business Breakfast event last year with over 100 delegates attending, South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils’ Business Breakfast event returns to the DeVere Oxford Thames Hotel for 2019. Tickets are available HERE and it’s free, so don’t leave it to the last minute to book.
This year’s theme is all about finding the right premises and work space, and our two key speakers from the world of business will be providing a real life insight into this.
We are delighted to announce that Bertie van Wyk, Wellness Advocate at contemporary interior furnishings manufacturer, Herman Miller, will be speaking about wellbeing in the workplace, and Chris Barnett, Director of 1973 Ltd will be talking about the challenges of running a business and the importance of choosing the right location to deliver both locally and overseas.
Bertie van Wyk
Bertie van Wyk joined Herman Miller in 2006 and his unique blend of skills and ability to analyse and communicate business improvements make him the ideal wellbeing advocate. Through his deep understanding of humancentric design and workplace wellbeing, Bertie effectively equips organisations with the knowledge and skills to become more productive, healthy and connected.
Herman Miller have pioneered a research-based “Living Office Discovery Process” that helps businesses create an office that better reflects who they are and what they do, and Bertie will explore how social ergonomics interacts with cognitive and physical ergonomics to create a full human experience at work, showing that when we feel better, we work better.
Chris Barnett started his digital career over 25 years’ ago, driven by his passion for all things computerised, which led him to co-found 1973 Ltd, now recognised as an experienced, proven digital marketing agency, based in South Oxfordshire.
Since 2004 they have worked closely with global enterprise-level corporates, medium and small sized businesses, building a thriving, fast-growing business that delivers integrated campaigns that cross sectors and countries. Chris will be able to provide a fascinating insight into managing rapid business growth.
Don’t forget to bring your business cards as there will be the opportunity to network and promote your own business, as well as stands from organisations that can help your business flourish. We look forward to welcoming you all.
