Government procurement for SMEs

The UK Government wants to spend £1 in every £3 with SMEs by 2022. There are a number of ways for SMEs to find opportunities to work with government. These include:

Contracts Finder – Find all government contract opportunities by region, type and value. Opportunities range from provision of systems through to landscaping, facilities management and more.

Digital Marketplace – The Digital Marketplace lets you provide people, technology and user research services for digital projects in the public sector.

Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) – SBRI brings together government challenges and ideas from business to create innovative solutions.

Selling to the public sector guide  – The guide offers top tips and testimonials from entrepreneurs who’ve been there and done it, in addition to 4 videos featuring advice and guidance for SMEs, from SMEs, wanting to work with government.

Export opportunities – Find export opportunities with the Department of International Trade website. You can also find advice on starting your export journey, with help and advice from DIT’s network of trade advisers.
