Popular Tourist website features Vale of White Horse market towns

Experience Oxfordshire has extended its website to include information on our Vale of White Horse market towns and their best attractions.

The new partnership between the South and Vale Business Support team and Experience Oxfordshire promotes Abingdon, Wantage and Faringdon and highlights smaller villages like Grove and Botley.

Each town has a dedicated webpage on the website, which aims to bring greater visitor numbers to come and enjoy the area’s rich history, unique buildings and museums. The aim is to highlight the areas where people can spend quality time with family or friends.

Our aim

Our aim is to increase football in our Vale towns by encouraging visitors to see what’s on offer. There’s a useful list of festivals, exhibitions, shows and events on the Experience Oxfordshire website, which can be viewed here.

Cllr Judy Roberts, Cabinet member for Development and Regeneration, said, “We urge residents and visitors alike to get involved and explore what’s available on their doorstep – we have something for everyone.  Come and explore our pretty market towns and famous landmarks, go along to local family events, and pack a picnic and take a walk along the Thames or The Ridgeway.”

You can find out more information on the Vale towns on our webpages.
