With the autumn term fast approaching, Oxford University are looking for clients for their two upcoming programmes.
Do you have a challenge or idea that you would like to explore further? Would you like an external perspective on a business opportunity? If so, the programmes may be ideal for your business.
Every year the university supports over 60 organisations through work experience programmes for Oxford students and Postgraduate researchers.
Participants work in small teams to address a strategic issue or opportunity for our client organisations over 2-3 months.
The Student Consultancy
The Student Consultancy is a programme of learning and development activities that links University of Oxford students to local Oxfordshire businesses and community organisations.
Since the programme launched, nearly 2,000 students have now taken on projects, helping over 250 local organisations. Each academic year will see close to 500 undergraduates and postgraduate students take part.
The Student Consultancy will run from the beginning of October to 5 December, and all project briefs would need to be in by Monday 30 September.
Why should you get involved?
Clients are not charged for taking part in the projects. The participants volunteer for the programmes and use the experience to boost their commercial awareness and employability skills.
Previous clients have said that they:
- benefit from the enthusiasm, creativity and fresh ideas that our student teams bring to a challenge
- enjoy sharing their expertise and knowledge about their industry with eager students and researchers
- get real value from the support.
Clients include businesses (large and small), charities, community organisations, City and County Council departments, and arts and cultural institutions. Previous client’s projects have included work on marketing, fundraising, user experience, new product feasibility and community engagement.
