Along with volunteers from the local community, Wallingford Town Council is preparing a neighbourhood plan.
The Wallingford Neighbourhood Plan (WNP) will influence development in Wallingford from the time the plan is adopted until 2034. The plan will give residents and business owners the opportunity to influence the future development and land use in Wallingford, ensuring the community gets the right types of development, in the right place.
Wallingford Neighbourhood Plan public consultation
The Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group, made up of local volunteers and town councillors, is seeking your views on the final draft of the Wallingford Neighbourhood Plan.
The public consultation opens on Friday 30 August and closes on Sunday 20 October.
This is the final opportunity to share your thoughts before the Plan is submitted to South Oxfordshire District Council for Examination.
The WNP sets out objectives and policies against which planning applications for new housing, employment and other development will be assessed so that the impacts the proposals have on the town’s green spaces, historic environment and community assets are controlled as far as possible for the benefit of residents, businesses and visitors.
Responses can be sent by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by post to WNP Consultation, Wallingford Town Council, 9 St Martin’s Street, OX10 0AL.
