Zap&Go accept the 2019 Early Stage Innovation Award

The 2019 SVBA Evening Ceremony at Williams Conference Centre may have taken place back in March, but we still had one final award to present…
Zap&Go, winners of the Early Stage Innovation Award unfortunately were unable to join us at the Evening Ceremony. Instead, the SVBA team presented the award to the company’s Founder and Chief Executive Stephen Voller and Office Manager Gayle Baker, at the company’s impressive new facility located at Harwell Campus.
Paul Monaco, Commercial Insurance Director at Focus ORM who sponsored the Early Stage Innovation Award, detailed why Zap&Go were selected as their winning business:

“Focus have been supporting Early Stage Science and Technology Businesses for many years by providing insurance and financial advice solutions. We were pleased to support the South and Value Business Awards 2019 and Sponsor the Early Stage Innovation Award.

Some very strong and diverse applications were received and the award this year was given to ZapGo Ltd, who were founded in 2013 with technology from the University of Oxford and are developing much better batteries and fast charging technology for the modern world.

It was felt that their technology has the capability to make a significant difference to how we all use and store power and impact our day to day lives. In a relatively short time they have grown the business significantly and have ambitious plans to grow further. We wish them every success.”

Stephen Voller, Founder and CEO of Zap&Go, said:

“We were immensely honoured to have received this award. This award reflects the incredible achievements of the whole team at Zap&Go over the last 5 years who have contributed to development of our technology.

We would also like to thank SVBA and Focus ORM to take the trouble of presenting our award in our new R&D facility at Harwell”.
